Privacy Policy
Last updated 14 July 2026
Pix is an event-photography service operated by US Guyana Trading LLC(“we,” “us”). This policy explains what we collect when photographers and guests use Pix, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions? Email pix@vip.gy.
Information we collect
- Event photos. Photographs captured at events we service, which may include your likeness, and their technical metadata (time taken, camera settings).
- Order details. The name, email address, and — only when you order prints or delivery — phone number and postal address you provide at checkout.
- Payment information. Card payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number; we retain only a payment reference and the amount, currency, and status of your order.
- Technical data. Basic server logs and a session cookie for staff sign-in. Guest galleries and checkout use only strictly necessary cookies.
How we use it
- To show you your event gallery and fulfil your orders.
- To process payments and send order confirmations and download links.
- To provide customer support and keep records for accounting and tax.
- To protect the service against fraud and abuse.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not add you to any marketing list without your explicit request.
Who we share it with
- Stripe — to take and reconcile payments.
- Our email provider — to deliver transactional email (order confirmations, download links).
- Authorities, only where we are legally required to do so.
Galleries and photo files are hosted on our own equipment, not a public cloud photo service.
Galleries, indexing, and facial recognition
Event galleries are unlisted and marked to discourage search-engine indexing. We do not run facial recognition or build biometric profiles from event photos.
How long we keep it
- Galleries are available for 7 days after publication, then close.
- Purchase download links stay valid for 7 days.
- Original master files are retained for about 90 days to support re-downloads and print fulfilment, then may be removed.
- Order and payment records are kept as long as required for accounting and legal obligations.
Your choices and rights
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. If you appear in an event photo and want it taken down, use the “Request removal” option in the gallery or email us — we review every request. Contact pix@vip.gy to exercise any of these rights.
Security
We use encrypted connections, hashed credentials and download tokens, server-side payment verification, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and to limit who can access it.
Children
Pix is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information for our own purposes. Photos of minors taken at an event are handled the same way as any event photo, and a parent or guardian may request removal at any time.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time; the “last updated” date above will change accordingly. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
